This probably was not made with flash, but it relates to the article we read about advertising.

feed the deer

So, I made my little drag and drop thing for class. Um....it's alright. It took a lot of trial and error to get things positioned correctly, so I feel that I'm probably doing something wrong. It was really frustrating, gave me a huge headache, and I had absolutely no good ideas for it (not that I ever have very good ideas for projects) but here it is.

Ambigram! (?)

This is a follow up from the in class tangent about words that are the same upside down and right side up (with a little artistic interpretation that is). Here is one that has two different phrases ("Come in" and "Go away" depending on which side it up. Take a look!

Steve Jobs vs. Bill Gates

I have no idea if this if Flash or not, but it's too great to not post.

Fun Flash Game

I have no idea how this was made, but it's really addictive.

Virtual Paper Dolls

With the idea of doing virtual paper dolls, this triggered my memory. It's just the first thing that came to mind when Pat talked about making a 'paper doll' in flash. Ah Steve Jobs. . .

Homonyms (or actually Homographs or Homophones)

Here are my spiffy homographs. They're all right...the second set of words don't seem too obvious...but maybe they do it you're looking for them. Anyway, I might add in the spoken word later just to clarify things. I do wonder how I got some sound to repeat on the over state for two sets but not for another one, even though the settings are exactly the same. Must be one of the great mysteries of the world. Anywho, here is the link.
Ex. Sentences:
The largemouth bass plays bass guitar.
Look at those does! That one does karate!
The mourning dove dove off the building.

Cool Flash Projects

While I'm still in class and thinking about it, here are some links to some other cool flash projects (by other people of course) that I really like.

This one is Korean, I don't know too much about it, but it's really well done. There's a second one (although I don't have a link for it) and a third one will be coming out...well...eventually.

This
one is a dynamic flash movie that has elements dependent upon the weather. I seem to only get the weather from the default location (Augsberg, Germany) but it's still interesting to watch. I love it. I had to download the music from iTunes I love it so much.

Hand animation (sort of...copy and paste may have been used)

So, I'm in class right now and I'm very sleepy and I just made this stupid little movie with a bean and a bee. Oh, and I just got the email about the student juried show and I feel that I have absolutely nothing to submit. So that's a nice feeling...

Buttons!

Here's a link to my menu linking my color palette animations with buttons. Woo hoo clicking buttons!

...*click*...*click*...*click*...

As a side note: Safari doesn't seem to play nice with Blogger...the only buttons I have in the gray edit bar when writing a post are spell check, add image, recover post, and preview. Why can't there be a browser where everything works? Maybe I should go back to Firefox (aka DeerPark for the version I have...wait...why don't I have normal Firefox? ...), but I've always had trouble with embedded video. With Safari though, things like Google notebook and Blogger always have bits missing here and there. I just don't get it...

Color Palette Animations

So I realize now, yet again, that I'm not good at spelling because two of the names for these animations are spelled differently (and wrong). BUT...since they are in link format, I guess that doesn't really matter. So here are my 3 color PALETTE flash animations.

Palette 2
Palette 3

Update: Links don't work, but follow the one in the post above.
